It was because they were my party. When I came across our ‘build your brand on the poor’ Labour left and progressives, as they commandeered any hope of fighting austerity, it was in the hope they would change. Then it was horror at their moral bankruptcy and the effect.

I sometimes play join dots, kind of look at the bigger picture then break it down to its smallest parts, try and see the likely long terms shifts. It never occurred to me I would be charting the end of the Labour Party. And it makes me very sad that that is likely. And frightened of what happens if that is the case, but I suppose when the political spectum redefines for the reason this one has, it’s inevitable. I would stand well back from the twitter bubble though.
